House of Bread Prayer Group

This is a weekly meeting for prayer, praise and informal scripture sharing, which encourages a growth in personal prayer life and a deepening of faith. An uplifting experience in what are currently difficult times when Christians are being constantly marginalised.

Tuesdays 7.30pm

All are Welcome. We begin our evening with vibrant Praise and Worship in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

HoB Praising
IMG6236 2The House of Bread Prayer Group is a fellowship of parishioners and friends who meet together primarily to praise God in a more informal way than Sunday mass allows.Meetings last from 7.30-9pm and during this time we praise the Lord in song, as well spending a time of silence before the Blessed Sacrament. We read scripture, often focussing upon Sunday’s gospel and share our reflections in a friendly, informal manner.

From time to time members share with the group how their lives have been blessed and changed and people whose involvement in the parish consisted of attending Sunday mass once a week testify how attending the prayer group has deepened their prayer life and increased their faith. Many people regard the Prayer Group as a second ‘family’; a place where confidences are respected and problems can be shared with friends. Individual prayer is always available upon request.

Everybody in the parish is most welcome and after the meeting we share a cup of tea and fresh home bakes!
