Over the past 10 years during and after healing services people have reported back to us that they or others for whom they asked healing prayers were healed.
So we have experienced many times that Jesus heals people today also, most of all through the sacrament of the sick by a priest and through the laying on of hands by ordinary members of the parish. Jesus is the healer. We just believe and ask for the outpouring of his healing power and offer ourselves to pray over people who ask for it. This happens during so called ‘Healing services’. See programme schedule here:
every 1st Thursday of the month either in the Cathedral [January, March, May, July, September, November]
or in St. Columba’s on Braehead way in Bridge of Don [February, April, June, August, October, December] between 7-9pm: Mass followed by Exposition and healing prayers together.
Healing Masses are also regularly celebrated in our parishes, when the priest anoints with the sacrament of the sick those who suffer from spiritual, emotional, mental or physical illness. Please check out our bulletin if there is any upcoming healing Mass.
Examples of recent healings:
• A person with a severe backache was healed shortly after the healing service was over
• A child was healed in Canada after prayers were said for him in our prayer group.
Praise the Lord!
